2025 Scholarship Recipient: Victoria D’Ulisse

The Bianca Nikol Merge With Mercy Foundation College Scholarship is granted each year to a deserving high school senior who, in addition to academic excellence, has shown resilience and perseverance in the face of life’s challenges. Bayard Rustin High School oversees the application process, ensuring that the scholarship is awarded annually in honor of Bianca Nikol. Eligibility requires applicants to be enrolled students at Bayard Rustin High School.
On Thursday, May 29th at Bayard Rustin High School’s Senior Awards Assembly, our founder, Michelle Roberson, presented the 2025 Annual Scholarship in the amount of $1,000 to graduating senior Victoria D’Ulisse.
Victoria was chosen by The Foundation Board from quite a select group of applicants primarily due to her moving essay highlighting the difference between “bye” and “goodbye” as relates to her losing her father as a young 13-year old girl. She had to deal with the weight of tremendous loss, immediately followed by our COVID world experience and ended up creating Everyday Hope – a charity organization that aims to tackle mental health issues that surround people impacted by cancer and to ensure loved ones get a change to say “goodbye”. Victoria will be attending Duke University in the fall.
We wish Victoria well!
